I like how this anime doesn't hide that it is made exactly for the people who love to watch that kind of anime.

I kind of dip in and out of the villainess genre, but it says something that this show's twist is that the villainess actually wants to be a villainess. And...that sounds kind of refreshing. We've had plenty of comedic Inspector Clouseau (Sellers, not Martin, please) type heroes over the decades, where an inept protagonist bumbles their way to success, but I wonder if the twist here is that she tries to be the villainess but bumbles her way to inadvertently helping people instead, much to her secret frustration.
Probably not, but hey, that could be the twist for the next villainess show. Or the one after that. Or the one after that.

Wow, they went all out with this cast.
Also it's funny to see Rieri in a Villainess anime just not as the lead. Same for Manaka Iwami because Euphie got the Villainess treatment.

I haven't read the source material. Can anyone here let me know if it's good?

It's okay if you're satisfied by a standard villainess isekai power fantasy with some light drama and somewhat comedic protagonist. Alicia is extremely competent, usually correct or proven so later, and admired by any characters the reader is meant to find likeable.
I could make a bunch of criticisms about the clumsy world building and some of the character work, but it's nothing anyone who enjoys isekai is likely to be put off by.
My one major criticism is the romance comes off super squicky because of a five year age gap between Alicia and the male lead. It wouldn't be a big deal if they were both adults, but when the romance starts in earnest she's 12 and he's 17. It makes him come off as a creep--at least to me; and was the main reason I dropped this series. YMMV.
