Seems early to announce this considering we're only 3 episodes in.

Maybe for once they are a good way into production at the moment.

Why does ANN use cours when everyone else calls it a cour?

According to Japanese dictionaries, the term originated from the French word "cours," meaning "lesson." (Note: the French word "cours" does not mean "course" as in a "one-course meal." The singular form of "cours" is not "cour.")
That's why ANN uses it.

Sure, but all sorts of words come from other languages but aren't spelled the same. We don't use "waurd" even though it's the original form of "word"
