It doesn't say "First part" ending, it says "first cour" which is how it would've been anyway, a cour is only 12-13 episodes by definition. The first "part" is very likely going to be 25-ish episodes as is usually the case with Gundam

I stopped watching the show after episode 6. I might go back once the show was over. Looks like that might be further away that I thought.

"Part" isn't an industry term with a specific usage, it's just a word... |

1st Part? Oh dear.
I knew this installment couldn't sustain 40-50 episodes split cour or not, it makes sense that it will be between 22-26 episodes split into 2 cours or parts as this article is stating, so at least it can end on a high note and not get boring with a ton of padding, it is panning out to be a Gundam installment without a bloody war after all. |

Still wondering if this cour will end with a big change in the narrative. I mean, the OVA was ridiculously violent when compared to these episodes. The closest thing we had to tragedy in the series so far is the Natsuki Hanae character

I think the tonal shift is inevitable, which is why we’re getting all the classroom interactions and cute moments now, so the tragedy has more impact later. |

Didn't we already know this was split cour? I swear it was announced really early on
If the rumored production issues are true, these delays are probably very helpful |

I think Miorine finding out the truth about the Aerial and how it works will probably cause a big shift in the plot. |

It was always split cour, the only thing of importance that was announced here is that the show will skip two weeks due to special programming (a news talk show and new years' programs), so that the first cour will end on January 8 instead of December 25 or something. (Also, I'm not sure why people think there are production issues, but in any case the recap episode was very obviously pre-planned so it wasn't a due to a last minute delay in production.) |

A certain group of people desperate to come across as insiders said the show was falling apart before it even started airing, and they take any chance they get to pretend that's the case. |

Why?
How was it ridiculously violent?
Yep, it was: https://www.siliconera.com/gundam-the-witch-from-mercury-will-have-two-separate-cours/
Where did they say that? |

I'd complain that momentum is being lost, but then I remember there isn't any.
Also what's this blog that's saying the show is falling apart? I’d love to read some like minded negative takes on this show. |

Streaming numbers say otherwise. Gundam.info's YouTube has at the very least 500K per episode (though most are 600-700K). Throw in the other AnimeOne channel or whatever and you've got 200-250K at least more. Toss in the same numbers for off YT viewership and you're looking at somewhere around 1 million streaming views for each episode. Let's also forget how it's a consistently trending topic on Twitter each and every Sunday both in Japan and the US. I wish we had access to Crunchy viewership numbers. Now, if you going to say what I think you are to refute that, you'll probably try citing some weird Reddit weekly anime spread that's full of hokey numbers and supposed ratings and whatever not. That's not an indicator of what's popular, no matter how many times people try using it. The same crowd that was trying to drum up the production issue rumor mill are the same ones trying to claim waning/failing popularity and they're being proven wrong for that too. It's almost like the show is doing so gosh darn well for itself they're scrambling to try and find more outlandish excuses to brand the show with. |
