Well, that sure is... a premise. Yep, those are words that were written, for sure.
The question is, what kind of vending machine?

So does the vending machine get goblins distracted by rejecting their money while the adventurer sneaks up from behind?

Read (and reviewed!) the first novel on this one a few years ago. While it does have some action elements, it's primarily about how the protagonist learns to use commerce to improve himself and help those around him. (He essentially "eats" and gains skill points by taking in coins, and his main gimmick is the ability to reformat himself like any vending machine he's ever encountered or is familiar with. . . so, for instance, he can become a birth control dispenser when placed in a brothel.) Features a surprisingly satisfying relationship with the busty girl featured carrying him, too. Really, the concept in novel form works way better than it probably should, so I'm interested to see how the anime version turns out.

I could have sworn I saw this posted on ANN about a month ago.
I'm shocked this is getting an anime. I mean, I really enjoyed the novels but I assume they didn't sell well since it was cancelled after the third volume a couple of years ago. Why would they choose to adapt a series that has already been cancelled and forgotten? Sometimes the mind just boggles...

Haha, didn't expect this to get an anime, a surprise but a welcome one.

Probably one of only isekai anime I want to exist since the time I made them in a simulation life game. Premise alone is hilariously insane and I want to see this in action once it's out. Definitely want to witness Joey's (TheAnimeMan) reaction once he hears the news.

This is probably the main isekai series that people talk about the weirdest plots in isekai or anime in general when people reference what sort of crazy things are made in japan.
I am actually surprised it took them this long to actually make an anime about it considering its reputation. I look forward to it.

Odd to me they'd give this an anime when the LN ended 5 years ago after only 3 volumes due to it just not being popular. The WN was actually finished but not sure why you'd make an anime to advertise for that. I guess maybe the author will put out a 4th volume and try again?

I remember picking up the first volume of this LN and while reading "Yup, this is going to be a anime one day...and it's going to be the most bizarre thing ever"
Oh Japan never ceases to amaze lol

Mad lads went and did it.
Guess isekai really is what sells if they chose to animate this.
