David Wald directing a cast of LGBT+ leads and dubbing Given!? Sign me up!
Also I think Brandon actually covered some of the songs for the series, so I wonder if they actually will dub the music.

Out of curiosity, who else is LGBT+ in the cast? I know Brandon is, as is David himself, but I'm not sure who else (I believe Josh is married to a woman).

Josh does identify as being nonbinary, so there's that, if that counts.

Super excited about this one! This was one of those Crunchyroll shows that a ton of fans hoped would get a dub eventually (alongside titles like A Place Further Than the Universe), and I'm glad to see it actually happening.
David Wald directing is extra icing on the cake, I think his track record really speaks for itself. From his work at Sentai (Bloom Into You), CR/Funi (Stranger by the Shore, The Case Study of Vanitas), to partnering studios like Sound Cadence (Adachi & Shimamura), you can tell he puts a lot of care into his projects.
Probably going to binge-watch this on Monday while recovering from Otakon festivities haha

This took awhile but great to see this happen!
Maybe a home release now?

I enjoyed the dub but the lack of subtitles for songs and text messages impacts the story. If I hadn't watched the subbed a lot I would have not know the significance and would be less emotionally invested in the story.[/quote]

A gay ADR director directing the Eng. dub of a BL/yaoi anime with LGBT VA might make the experience a bit more authentic or believable. However, a straight ADR director using straight VA for such a show could also deliver powerful performances.
