Ah yes, Doga Kobo from before they found their niche as a studio.

I remember watching this years ago and enjoying it. I wish there would have been a full domestic release with discs and an English dubbed version.

Way before they became the "loli studio." It's only their second anime. |

Second TV anime. Fifth if you include their OVA and movie outputs. |

Ryoko's Case File should of had a english dub a decade ago such a wasted opportunity not to receive one.

I'm surprised that it's sort of glossed over that the novels are by Yoshiki Tanaka, aka the author of Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Though this seems very different from the two adaptations of his works I've seen (LoGH DNT and the 2015 Arslan). I always like case files anime though, and the "episodic cases turn out to all be connected to the final arc" is a trope I really love.

I was pretty mixed when I watched this show back in the day. I enjoyed the fact that the characters were adults, but the first half of the series suffers from a "monster-of-the-week" type of story. It got better down the stretch. Still couldn't bring myself to give it more than a 6/10.
The OP is an homage to Maurice Bender's Bond titles. Surprised the reviewer didn't see that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eENblZW9Eig I thought the original fansubs for this show were pretty decent. Sounds like that's not so true for the legal release. |

I'm, uh, not much of a Bond fan. But that does make a lot of sense, now that you say it. |
