Glad to see she's still getting work, despite everything.

Giving her more work is the least Shueisha can do after all that happened. Matsuki may have destroyed his own career but I'm glad he didn't destroy Usazaki's.

Could have gotten an act-age anime adaptation announcement at this point, but the author decided to be a creep. What an absolute waste.

That we can be all thankful for. I kind of hope this lawyer suspense story stars a female lead.

Wish they got a new writer to continue Act-Age because that series is so unique and different but I guess it will die because of that stupid creep of an author

Like I predicted in previous threads, Jump is giving her another series. I also predict this one-shot will be picked up for serialization. Let's see.

What a relief! I mean, Act-Age isn’t going to continue, but at least Usazaki-sensei is still getting some work!

Now that is a combination I did not expect.

That was never an option. Matsuki owns the copyright for Act-Age, at least in part. There's no way to cut him out of it. The only way for Shueisha to stop doing business with him was to abandon Act-Age.

The title is kinda misleading. It makes it sound like both authors are writing their own new respective one-shots but in the first paragraph, its more like they're collaborating on 1 new one-shot

No the title is correct. The writer for Usazaki's oneshot is Osamu Ishikawa not Osamu Akimoto (kochikame mangaka).

Yeah you're right. It seems I was mistaken. Didn't read thoroughly enough. My bad

I'm glad Usazaki sensei gets another chance. She is incredibly talented and doesn't deserve to have her career end so soon just because her coworker was a creep.

Like others have already posted, I'm glad to see the artist is getting another shot at having her work serialised in Shounen Jump (at least one would hope so).
Its a shame they won't promote her earlier work but I'm still intrigued in reading it just to see what the story and art were like in it. I'm sure I'll get around to it sometime in the future.
