as a fan of this series, I'm so disheartened by the Finale series release schedule for what exactly is being made. Don't get me wrong they're high quality for sure, but it's a paper thin premise in there that doesn't warrant 8 something years of production.
Our futures in living aren't even that certain as some people say.

Sorry but as long as Studio Actas is the animation studio doing the franchise, you’ll have to endure and be patient on it since they do great work if they are given ample time and aren’t being rushed to meet a deadline like the TV anime production schedule model. The last 2 projects they have done on their own(Regalia and Long Riders) had production issues that that did not clicked with Japan audience. GuP is the only title they have success with(maybe Princess Principal movies which also have the same release schedule as GuP das Finale) so they better not mess it up with not so good animation.

I wonder if the last film will be out by 2030.

I think you are exaggerating a bit. With current pace it’s going right now(counting current circumstances) they are keeping a more than 1-year interval in terms of theatrical run, with Part 1 came out in December 9, 2017, Part 2 in June 15, 2019 and now Part 3 in Spring 2021. I’m assuming Part 6 will be out around 2027-2028.

Is there a reason they couldn’t have done this as one final TV season and it had to be done as movies? Like do the movies have especially spectacular animation quality or something?
