No desktop viewing nor an Android release is a little baffling. Any chance ANN could attempt to get a comment on why those platforms are not included yet?

So I compared the previous official translation of Arte (free on MyAnimeList) to what is available on this app, and it's a totally different translation. How can that be possible? Also Somali manga is currently being sold as ebook in English as "Somari and the Guardian of the Forest," but this app has adopted the anime title as localized by Crunchyroll. I just checked the translation and Somali manga is also completely different translation compared to what is being sold on Amazon Kindle. All stuff from Kodansha (Attack on Titan, Fire Force, etc) seem to have the same translation as the officials, so it's weird some are getting a new translation and some aren't.
Also the iOS app is hot garbage. The series page is in random order and there's no way to set it to alphabetical order. There is no option to search by series title, only pre-selected genre tags. Extremely laggy and glitchy, downloaded on my iPad and have to continually press "restore in-app purchases" in order for it to recognize that I have a free trial, but even that doesn't work most of the time. I've also heard from some people in Australia that the app wasn't available in the store, so that makes me question if this is truly worldwide. As for titles, they've started to add some Kodansha titles (Attack on Titan and Fire Force only have 4-5 chapters available, so don't expect to catch up with Japan any time soon with this app), but other than Arte, Somali, and Dropkick, I don't recognize any of the other 100+ series. Most of which only have a single chapter, though there are a few with more than a dozen chapters. Honestly, I'm not convinced if this will be worth the $5 a month once the 60 day trial is up. Not being current with AoT and Fire Force is a major drawback. I have found a couple charming titles, including "How I Lost my Large Intestine," which is a grisly but hilarious tale of a young Okinawan woman who suffers from ulcerative colitis with a bumbling doctor who has no idea what he's doing. I believe it's a true story, which makes me eager for more chapters. |

No Android release on launch? Dead on arrival. Not covering both platforms for a mobile app on launch is suicide.

I just wanted to see the list of titles available but the website doesn't say... I guess I'd have to download it but based on LegitPancake's comment and the fact I'm in Australia it sounds like it may not be worth it.

This launch is a dumpster fire. No Android/Desktop AND you can't view the catalog anywhere without downloading the app? Hard pass, mangamo.

Their website has apparently added a list of titles (in alphabetical order, even!) since the last time I looked at it, but this site did them one better by getting how many chapters of each title are on the app right now. Oh, and there's the site's Copyright page, which lists all of the series and their Japanese copyright holders. I recognize a few of those as shorts or one-shots available on MANGA.CLUB. |

So it's supposed to be available globally with the exception of Japan, China, and Korea. I think it's got potential once it acquires more titles with more varied genre, and perhaps available on Android too.

Who would butcher a launch like that?
Oh. That explains everything. |

I was excited about the idea of a manga subscription site covering titles from multiple publishers but I already lost interest in the lack of major titles. The other apparent issues with the app makes me even less interested to check it out.
