Manga creator duo UME launched a new manga titled Ai to Aizawa on the Manga Trigger manga app on February 22. The manga is based on Kappii's web novel of the same name that centers on Ai, a high school girl with no experience in romance, but who falls in love with an artificial intelligence. Her romance will start a journey that will put humanity's existence on the line.
Kappii wrote three chapters of the original story on his blog last June. Kappii's SNS Police manga is also receiving an anime adaptation that will premiere on March 24.
Manga creator duo UME consists of writer Takahiro Ozawa and artist Asako Seo. Their Tokyo Toybox manga previously inspired a live-action television series in 2013, and the sequel manga Giga Tokyo Toy Box similarly inspired another live-action series in 2014. Takahiro Ozawa also wrote the script of the Mazinger Z: Infinity film, and collaborated with illustrator Kaoru Osada on the Mazinger Z Interval Peace prequel manga for the film last year.
