Is it just me, or am I noticed that this year's winter animes are having more 11,12 and 13 episodes than usual? Only this years winter anime, "A Certain Scientific Railgun T" will air 24 or 25 episodes(no split cours) I think. Is it unusual? Are this year's animes with 24,25 and 26 episodes will become uncommon?

Be interesting to see how this goes - the first few volumes of In/Spectre’s manga are all centred on one case and they are narratively dense with a lot of explanations and lore dump. I enjoyed it, but I can’t say it didn’t bog down a ton as well.
The anime could really help trim that and make for a nice, long-form narrative with a perfect endpoint. The series is mostly involved with smaller cases after this one (up to where the English releases are anyway), so it has potential.
I want it to work, which is often a segue to my crushing disappointment

@pharmboy23 IKR? The manga has so much text, thats almost like a book and not a manga lol I'm really looking forward for this adaptation, but i hope they trim a lot of those texts ;x The real problem is that the animation and character design don't look the best, which scares me a little too

The reason it has a lot of text might be because it's adapted from a novel series.

It's not just you. This has been growing increasingly more common for quite a while now. The industry has been moving in that direction for the last few years.

So that means animes with 24, 25 and 26 episodes will become rarity. Right?

I understand that pretty well, but I wanted to read a light novel, I would, you know, read it.
So much text in manga should not be allowed. It's just info dumping and could have been trimmed in a half. Reading 1 episode of Umineko visual novel will take 10-12 hours, but you could read manga with the same story and events for like two hours.

Unless a show has been popular enough to get a continuation, 12 episode shows have been the industry norm for the past decade. If anything, we’ve been seeing more shows lately like No Guns Life that are announced as split cours and more light novel anime are getting continuations. And just last year we had tons of 24 episode shows like Dororo, Sounds of Life, Mix, Fairy Gone, and long running franchises getting two cours like Vinland Saga, Dr Stone, and Fire Force.
