Man what is with Toei and their dictator attitude when it comes to DragonBall, if it wasnt for them the dub would have been much further along than it is.

So... Something a bit unique with the license for Dragon Ball Super, and it's that FUNimation does not actually have the rights to it. All they are is acting as a distributor for Toei on the series. The dub is produced under and approved by Toei Animation. In fact, Turner licensed the TV rights directly through Toei's Japanese branch.
So obviously FUNimation has very little say in the matter in terms of how Super is handled here in the states.

I wonder if Funimation's DBS releases aren't selling as well as expected, and Toei being Toei thinks that it's because of the streaming schedule, and not because of obvious things like declining home video sales; Dragon Ball Super not benefiting from nostalgia like DBZ box sets and thus not as likely to get impulse bought at Target or Walmart; and that up until Future Trunks arc, Dragon Ball Super is either a messy recap of two films (episodes 1-27), or an unexciting tournament arc that mostly exists to give the writers a reason for the actual, series-ending tournament arc, not to mention all the filler between those arcs. The US releases are also broken into 13 episode pieces, so none of them contain whole arcs. The one with Future Trunks on the cover only has five Future Trunks arc episodes, for example.

Don't worry they're selling well, Part 1 infact sold out day one it was released. Right now Part 4 is still on Amazon's top 10 in fact it's number one when coming to series as the ones above it are movies.
There is no filler in DBS. Goku mentioned Copy Vegeta in the Trunks arc and Hit's attacks on his assassination mini arc with Goku are showcased again in the ToP.

The filler is the only good part of Super, though :^)

well the arale ep is basically a young jump 30th anniversary crossover ep and many in the fanbase don't consider it a filler per se. it was the same for all of those one piece/dragonball jump festa crossover ova eps that show up from time to time.
but the baseball ep is DEFINITELY FILLER!!!!!
