I thought I sent an email about this on Sunday and was wondering why you guys didn't post about it yet...then I see that I didn't actually send it >.> Draft just sitting there. RIP.
anyway, this skyrocketed my hype. I heard good things about it from people in Japan but coming from the Shanghai International Film Festival is far more meaningful. |

Not even watching the trailers for this thing (hell, haven't even read any decent summary, I just don't know what it's about). Just need to experience it completely blind, so hype.

eehhhhh I'm not too sure about this film from what i've read of the premise and seen from the trailers. It feels like it suffers from the emotionally cloying and overly sappy elements that plague other Mari Okada works. I just hope that I'm proven wrong while watching this and that it turns out that she's found some storytelling growth through working on this film.
