Here's a technical thing: while "Black Clover" is getting 51 episodes, that doesn't necessarily mean it will run consecutively for 51 weeks. There could be a 2-season break then the remaining 25-27 of 51 episodes starts next fall. However, given the hype of the show, I think we will have 51 episodes week after week.

Just as many as Soul Eater. Hopefully we don't get an anime-only ending, lol.

Considering the final set ships on January 2019, its final cours would have to air by Fall 2018, so the only possibility is all the cours air consecutively.

Well, this makes sense. Given the manga is several chapters ahead.

I don't know how many chapters are currently out, but does this mean possibility of filler episodes?

Oh great, more poor pacing. Guess I’ll be holding off on this one for the time being. At least that means more The Ancient Magus’ Bride time.

51 episodes?!
RIP Asta’s voice actor’s vocal chords.
Seriously unless they get him to rework his voice I am actually worried about the damage doing that voice for a full year could inflict.

Understandable for a Shonen Jump title that is trying to become the next flagship after One Piece / Naruto / Bleach. Something like World Trigger if only the manga didn't have a sudden hiatus due to the mangaka's poor health.
Also, considering the pacing of the anime, which is faster than One Piece but slower than Naruto's, I think they are going to try to cover as little manga content as possible per week without resorting into too much "filler arcs" in its entire run.
A 51-episode straight run is rare for Jump titles these days too, as they usually appear in bite-sizes cours like MHA so that the animation quality will not suffer (maybe due to budget constraints). Let's see if the animation would remain consistent.

Why do they keep making such a big deal about the director being only 28 years old whenever they list the staff for this show?

Because quite frankly it is really damn rare to be an anime director in your twenties. Most directors tend to be in their thirties or forties when they get their first break after doing roughly a decade of key animation and other non-directorial work. If you go through the credits for many first time directors they’ll have years of anime experience but it is mostly in the form of being an animator or animation director or what have you.

Yikes, the manga is already really badly adapted, it has a horribly slow pace and is already padding out stuff with filler and flashbacks. The animation so far looks cheapish already, episode 5 looked terrible, yeah, I'm sure a lot of people are going to be off this ride and drop it like I did. On top of all the negative things I listed above, the mc also has an incredibly annoying voice, it's like they want people to drop this. I guess I'm glad Bnha escaped this cruel kind of fate, Pierrot or Toei would've ruined it.

I wasn't crazy about the first three episodes, but 4 & 5 won me over and I'm into it now. I'm glad I gave it a chance.
