Dang, it sure live up to its name by bringing in nothing but anime creators.
I never been to Little Tokyo, so I wonder what it's like. Is it anything close to Japan when it comes to pedestrians? |

Depends on the time of day and day of the week. On weekday afternoons, it is pretty empty, as well as Sunday evenings. But it gets really busy on Friday nights and all of Saturday. It's never enough to crowd the streets like what you often see in fiction in Shibuya though. Thank goodness. Things will probably be different with a convention set out on the streets like this. The roads will likely be blocked off, which can make parking highly troublesome. A few small streets are blocked for events like the Upland Lemon Festival without a problem, but the Upland guys have been doing it for over half a century and the locals know to expect it annually, whereas this will be the first such thing done to Little Tokyo to my knowledge. I do hope to visit, if only to see if it increases attendance at 82, a barcade right across the street that visitors and locals to Little Tokyo seem to avoid. |
