Great quality as expected. I can't wait to see this tbh and got high expectations for it.

Lol, I usually don't like Sakurai unless he voices weird villains and losers. But his Killy looks like it's gonna be awesome.

I'm still not hot on the CG approach. Looks fine in stills, but the motion and rigging still aren't top tier.
That said... Netflix???
Does this mean there will be no physical release then?

So just to be sure, they're not doing the original story from them bags. it's a new story penned by Nihei then? A sequel or what?

Probably a different plot line based on the same settings.

A physical release is still possible. Knights of Sidonia was a "Netflix Original" but was still released as collectors editions and standard editions by Sentai Filmworks,

When it comes to CG anime which I absolutely despise (especially Polygon), this... really doesn't look too bad. I mean it's still like 5 fps which is terrible but the art is definitely good looking.
Not sure if I'll watch it though.

Not sure what to make of this. All I know about BLAME! is from watching the ONA from '03, which was really confusing for someone who hadn't read the manga. If it's more accessible in introducing the world, this could be good.

It looks alright. I thought the CG in Sidonia looked decent for the most part and so far Polygon has done a good job capturing the feel of the backgrounds. My only concern based on this teaser is that movie is probably going to focus more on the action and the talky parts of Blame! Some of the best parts of the manga involve Killy just wandering around by himself. Hopefully, the movie will have some of those moments as well. Either way, I can't wait to see this. Maybe if the movie is successful we'll get a series too.

That's my guess as well. I think it's a good decision and much better than attempting to squeeze the manga into a 90 minute movie or however long it is. If anything, it's the closest we'll get to a new story in the Blame! world.

Buran lol
Like most people said here, it is really look bad. I dont like fully 3DCG anime and in fact I skipped Knight of Sidonia but I watched Expelled from Paradise and I liked it despite it is a 3DCG anime. I guess good CG and bad CG exists.
