This new layout I find very annoying. On this laptop I have a 1024x768 screen. For those of you with 1600x1200+ resolution monitors the site must be nice. Unfortunately for me with the left side banner plus the right info banner they together take up 2/3 of the entire screen!!! This is VERY annoying. There is hardly any area left at all for the info that is wanted. I also liked having all the links readily available on the left side. There is no need to use fancy javascript popdown menus. This is not an art site, its a news site. It has no need to look pretty but it really needs to be functional. The current design is not functional. And something other than the Coyote Ragtime Show should be the default banner. The entire left column is COMPLETELY wasted. If you must keep the images then put the text on top of them so that the space can be used. Also shrink the banner somewhat as it is way too large as it is now.
On a side note. Many many links are not working
Ex: The melancholy of suzumiya haruhi top two news links just link to the main page. And many of the archive of news articles lists are non functional and forward to "cannot be found"

I have a 1024x768 monitor and find the site very pleasant, actually. It only felt cramped when the Coyote Ragtime theme was applied, but otherwise actually felt a little more spacious to me. Instead of two columns closing in, there's only one that's about 1.5 times the width of the previous two (or at least appears that way when eyeballing it). And the forums (or at least prior to the Coyote Ragtime theme, again) were much wider and less cramped than on the original site.

Remember the Fuccons theme? Or the Naruto theme? Same deal. It's temporary. It'll pass.

There is a lot to The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan that feels one note, but it’s quite the note if you’re in the mood for some anti-hero cheese.― There is a lot to The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan that feels one note, but it's quite the note if you're in the mood for some anti-hero cheese. If any of you are outsiders sitting on the fence, take it from me: This game is pretty neat!― I've always wanted to dig into the beloved-but-niche JRPGs from Nippon Ichi Software (a.k.a. “NIS”), especially the Disgaea games, but I've always been intimidated by their reputations for containing complex and finicky systems that require a real commitment to number crunching and min-maxing. When the oppo...
Pocket Camp Complete is perfectly designed to be playable in bite-sized chunks, a relaxing experience when you just need a brief moment of escape.― I am not, by and large, a mobile gamer. I'll play games on my clunky old Galaxy A03 every so often, but it's rarely my first choice of platform. That's important to mention because Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete was a game I found myself coming ba...
Miles Atherton Thomas crunched the data on one of anime's biggest sub-genres. What makes isekai anime popular, and what kinds of isekai are fans watching the most?― The State of Isekai, 2025 If you wanted to characterize “the biggest trends in anime of the last decade,” you might be inclined to narrow in on anime's increasingly global presence or the exploding volume of new TV anime being produced....

After a long dry spell, there's finally an increase in shōjo anime adaptations. Which ones are worth watching?― Anime is not always there for shōjo fans. Not that there isn't any in a given season, but at times it can feel like every other show that comes out is either an adaptation of a Shonen Jump property, a male power fantasy light novel, or something else that isn't all that concerned with attr...
