It's ok I guess but for me there are 3 ingredients in order to make a good Macross Anime since the 1st one, 1st idols (singers) 2nd Love Triangle and 3rd Mechas I hope I will see those 3 in this new anime.

So I was looking through the comments and I'm rather confused. Why are people complaining that the Romance Mecha, where cute Idols are used in warfare. Has Idols and cute girls.

You do realize those are the basic elements that's in every Macross series. Some series just emphasize more on one than the others.

Yeah I know that's why I will be looking for those 3 but from what I see from the trailers and visuals it seems we will not get a love triangle. It looks like this macross is Love Live + High School Star Musical (maybe if that group of male will sing) + Valkyries = Macross Delta

Kawamori already stated that there will be at least a love triangle (maybe more than one) but that aspect won't be the main focus of this series. If you've been following the interviews and read the info gathered from Macrossworld the Aerial Knights of the Kingdom of Wind are NOT singers and are just pilots. Please don't quickly assume that just because its an idol group its a Love Live clone. Macross has actually done that before in the VF-X games almost 2 decades ago. And from the PV alone there doesn't seem to have any high school drama unlike Frontier. I suggest you reserve some judgement until you've watched the first episode or the special.

I'm feeling it.
I also get the feeling Mirage will be in a love triangle being the only lady in the unit, not sure about the idols though, I can't see it going through at all.

Yeah. Wouldn't shock me at all.
Mirage has a nice character design atleast as well.
