I'm not too surprised she hasn't seen the show. You could totally not be into anime but be willing to accept payment from an anime company for work done. Plus Eva is long. It's like thousands of minutes. That's a lot to just watch on your own, especially when the committee has a attitude like you totally don't need to watch this in order to nail the singing.

I love everything about this story. She's baller AF. Millions off of two hours of work she did one time is a pretty sweet deal. I wouldn't have time to watch anime either with that much money to spend. I hope her husband enjoys that cave too.

She earns almost a million dollars a year in royalties from that song. He didn't use up her royalties. She is taken care of for life, just from that one little song. You never know what the future will bring, and what opportunities will come your way. You know though, even if she read your comment, and understood the two personal insults you threw her way, she'd still be laughing all the way to the bank. |

HOLD UP.
Why does her husband have access to her bank account? Or did she divorce him because he spent that much on a cave? Why buy a cave in the first place? Now for the song: why does she get that much money when she only WROTE the song's lyrics? She didn't compose it; she didn't sing it. In most circumstances, the songwriter gets paid less than the composer and the singer. It makes me wonder how much they get paid if she makes as much as $800k a year. |

She has (not)hing to worry about in terms of criticism. After a couple decades nobody knows much about Evangelion despite its continued financial success.
She is probably in the same boat as many of the series other creators. If the theme song writer makes that much then the composers might be regularly stuffing the bank. |

Well, I am sure she is doing fine, until the next royalty check pops up. It could also be taxes, don't know who much Japan taxes, but it is not unheard of for some nations to tax almost 50 percent or more on high earners. Also, some people raise their standard of living to new levels when getting a lot of money, so the money flows out just as fast as it flows in. |
