This manga proved to be a rare find for me, as seeing as I wasn't able to find it in retail stores at all when I went back to Japan. And to find it over here in the US, that is something. It is a collection of short stories written by our beloved Fruits Basket author, Takaya Natsuki, and it looks like a majority of the stories in this book were written before FB. But as you read the stories, the themes you see in them are brought out again in Fruits Basket. If you have read FB, it will be easy to understand the characters and feel their emotions and stories. A good read, though it probably won't find itself coming over here Sad

And you decided to make us all curious with it. Laughing I asked one of my Japanese friends to look for it but so far nothing. I hope that she will find it because Natsuki Takaya proved to be quite a very interesting author. I am most curious about her future works since it was officially published the last chapter of Fruits Basket.

Well, I think that as far as reading Fruits Basket and seeing how well the manga is written, it would inspire those who are fans of Takaya Natsuki to look for her other works.

I already started to search for her works, but unfortunately they are quite hard to find. I mean, I would have expected to see some of her older works reprinted since Fruits Basket had such a huge succes, but nevertheless I couldn't find them so easily and I am still trying. I guess that for those who are fans of Takaya Natsuki the curiosity about other works of hers has become stronger.

Judging from the information that I have collected from the encyclopedia for NT-sama's works, only FB is the big one, or otherwise well known outside of Japan. And when you look at how much info there is and not even a plot summary for these titles:

Tsubasa Wo Motsumono
Genei Musou
Bokugautauto Kimigawaraukara

chances of trying to get these outside of Japan are pretty slim, if not impossible. I should consider myself very lucky. I do plan on writing the summary for the third title since I have bought and read it, unless someone else decides they want to buy the book right now and do it before me, which is highly unlikely Wink

There are scarce chances for someone to buy that issue and make a summary before you. Wink Besides you and me who are really obssessed with one of her creations, Wink , I don't think people will hurry to buy any other creations of hers, especially since there are found so hard. And I have pretty small chances to aquire the issue and make a summary of it since I will have to wait for my Japanese friend to send it to me. If she can find it. Shocked

When I started to read Fruits Basket I also started to search some other creations of Takaya Natsuki and I came across Tsubasa wo Motsumono which seemed really interesting. I can't remember where I found the summary though, which is a shame now.

Maybe I should rename this thread to be The Takaya Natsuki discussion thread or something along those lines Wink
