I wonder how faithful it'll be to the actual NYC? The trains in the Free version of Sydney had a distinct lack of graffiti, Chinese people having loud conversations in the quiet carriages and degenerates blasting awful hip hop music through their Beats headphones.

It isn't that impressive though, lol. NYC is a really iconic city and most of the places they found aren't that obscure.
It is more impressive to me when Japanese fans find all the places from some random town an anime is based off of.

Love Live? In the US?
This softens the blow from the disappointment of the next installment. I hope that it isn't an anime because μ's, the new group screams complete blandness. I can't wait for the movie.

Well, they could have done a better job at identifying the subway platform - must be tourists. For anyone who rides the subway regularly, the sign in the picture could only be found on the 42nd Street NRQ platform. Actually from their picture, they appear to have found the right platform, but didn't take the picture in the right place - they just needed to walk down a bit further.
Although, I'm annoyed at myself for shooting the wrong side of the newsstand.
As for other shows, I definitely don't mind the artistic license BBB took with Trinity Church's graveyard, and all the other NYC scenes, but I wish they had gotten the 23rd street CE station sign right. It is Uptown and Queens (or Downtown and Brooklyn). Well at least the words are spelled correctly.

Eh, I think the "blandness" will fade once they have a better idea of the personalities of the new girls & the project develops. If you look at the early artwork for μ's they are fairly bland and lacklustre compared to the later artworks in my opinion. The early versions of the girls had a much blander colour palette and their personality was much less visible.

1st season was mostly OK, but from Episode #11 onward the quality of the story and characterization decreased considerably; and Season 2 kept the show at that new, lower level.
Overrated show.

I'm not a Love Live fan, but I'm really curious about this movie as a New Yorker. I hope they do a cover of Sinatra's New York, New York!
