I hope, if Monster Musume sells well on DVD/Blu-Ray in Japan (and I'm expecting the usual boob-obscuring-steam in the TV version that will encourage sales of the uncensored home video versions). we get anime adaptations of some of the other monster girl manga, specifically A Centaur's Life, not that I'm not also looking forward to seeing Centorea in Monster Musume to satiate my appetite for sexy anime centaur girls for the time being.

I was going to leave it at that, but decided to at least read the rest of the summary. The above gif stands even after that. I honestly wish they would make anime about fantastic creatures that wasn't just a base ecchi harem with self-insert average Japanese teenager surrounded by magical boobs whose raison d'etre is chasing after his dick.

I feel somewhat ambivalent about this:
On the one hand, I'm happy that this series is getting animated (and a TV show, not an OVA or an ONA). The humor is good, the art style intriguing, the character designs are different from one another (they have be, one cannot copy-paste a centaur's physique and pass it off as a harpy's), and the story has a nice flow to it.
On the other hand, it'll undoubtedly be heavy censored (and that's understandable), but the chances of the adaptation diverging from the source material quite heavily and early-on in the story are high. Most of the recent (~10 years) shows that were adapted from a very Ecchi-focused source material have followed that trait (I remember the first season of To Love-Ru just ditching the manga's plot in the middle and gunning towards the highway, as one example).
Also, while the manga does have an over-arcing plot, it advances in a slow-enough rate that each chapter can almost be a stand-alone, so I'm not sure if it can portray the manga's story well in a 10~13-episodes show. But then again, I don't work in the animation industry nor I'm a professional writer, so me being unable to see how the manga can be translated to the Silver Screen is pretty much a given.
A July premiere, ha? It'll most likely be a 1-cour show.

I also always judge stories by their poorly written summaries.

It's like a dream come true. I always wanted it to get an anime, but u never expected it to happen! I don't usually read Ecchi so I wonder how much will be censored, I imshine quite a bit. But I finally get to see animated Papi, so I'm very happy indeed!

I was hoping this would get an anime, it's really popular. I just hope they don't censor it to hell while it's airing.

Don't mind if it's a bit censored, is enjoyable enough anyway. Hope they don't cut too many of Suu's scenes though.

Sort of. The main setup certainly is, but the manga has still managed to actually be funny because most of its jokes are set up around the whole "monster girl" aspect (I.E. Meroune the mermaid having a tragedy romance fetish due to the original My Little Mermaid fairy tale and how it ended.)

This is probably one of my favorite series in terms of comedy. Now, all i have to do now is wait for the anime announcement to UQ Holder.
