G4TechTV.ca also says that their new programming block, called “Anime Current”, will have more titles launching in December!
I can't wait to see what else they will offer.

I wonder if the U.S. G4 operation is transferring its licenses to the Canadian operation. If so, look for G4 Canada to run other of the last things G4 ran in the USA like Last Exile, Gad Guard or RahXephon. (^_*)

Man, Canada is so lucky now, Because Our G4 here in America has gone to the crap dogs, with all these male oriented crap shows they're been Airing on G4 in the U.S.A, I beleive that Anime Unleashed will never return.

True, Comcast essentally gutted TechTV and transformed it slowy into a weak Spike TV clone. I hope that G4 dies in the next year.

I've gave up on Anime Unleashed ever returning to G4 a few months ago--I personally don't think the people currently running the channel particularly cared for anime or even understood the appeal of it. The initial story that AU was pulled because most of the licenses had expired and they needed time to acquire new shows I now think is a load of bull, especially given how much time has passed and how many other shows G4 has acquired since AU was pulled off the air.
To use a Star Wars analogy, Tech TV was the Old Republic and G4 is the evil Empire. The takeover was subtle and filled with lies and empty promises of bigger and better things...

I think the U.S. G4 operation concluded that the 18-34, single, self-indulgent, trendy males they want to attract have no interest in anime. (Unfortunately for them, this segment also doesn't have much interest in TV in general.)
The Canadians appear to be targeting a slightly different segment of the 18-34s, where anime has a place. (^_*)

Anyone know if it was censored or not? I haven't watched the DVDs or anything.
It was reported by Zannen that we recieved the tapes from the US G4TV, which had not only edited language/nudity/etc, but also cut an extra 3 minutes out of each show to air more commericals. I didn't notice any editing at all (there was a fair bit of swearing, albeit mild), and I kind of expected it when the main character gave someone the middle finger for about a full minute >_>.
If there was time-editing, it wasn't too noticeable...it was 30 minutes long, as it should have been (G4 Canada can only show 12 mins of commercials per hour, whereas the US counterpart does 18, I think).
If we did indeed have ROD TV uncut, this is great news...I can't wait to hear what else they'll be picking up for December.

I just did a side-by-side comparison against G4techtv's airing. It is identical to the DVD for episode 1. Absolutely no editing that I can tell. Nothing really too objectionable in this episode anyway, but these were definitely *not* the G4 tapes, since G4 had censored dialog "bitch" and many edits for time.
I guess it remains to be seen how they handle nudity further in.. It would be nice if the entire series ran unedited! We're certainly off to a good start!

They didn't edit the nude scene out when the series ran in the U.S., but they did pixle the character up while she was undressed. Other than that, they didn't butcher the series up too badly. It really kind of takes a side-by-side comparison with the DVD to notice what was taken out, otherwise, the edits are not very noticeable...

Very interesting new disclaimer being played now:
"This programs contains coarse language, nudity and violence"
Guess this really is going to be uncut, which is especially impressive given how early the weekend encores are.
