I recently made a live action naruto fight scene using AE for special effects and was wondering if there is anything similar that I could do? I was thinking of maybe DBZ next since fireballs and beams are easy to do. Any suggestions?

BTW, here a link to my Naruto Live Action Vid (Not a cheesy drama thing. Has special fx and stuff)

*Also, If you like it, please leave a comment or give it a rating, Thanks Smile

Wow! That was actually pretty good. Did you and your group do this all by yourselves?

No kidding, that was really good. Seeing something like that gives me hope that MAYBE the supposed (I say supposed because god knows how long they will take) Dragonball Z and Evangelion movies won't suck. I mean if these guys can do something that looks pretty good, considering they have no multi million dollar studio, maybe the major studios won't botch things up. Doubtful though

For starters, y'gonna have to look at Hollywood and see -- what if they took this anime and made like a movie -- OR -- what if a big TV network took this anime and made a TV series.

Thus, who would fit into the best parts of certain anime?

Quote:
Evangelion

I can see NBC being able to take Evangelion and make a series out of it - especially when NBC has experience with making serious series like West Wing, Star Trek: TNG, and Law and Order. They can easily take Evangelion and do something with it. Though the hard part would involve using the giant robots and the angels. Otherwise, the drama part is right there.

Haha thanks. Yeah, it was just us doing the editing and stuff. Any suggestions on a next anime/videogame video? Or maybe a Chasuke's revenge kinda thing(but there wouldn't be much new stuff unless I take from part 2)?

Initial D! HAHAHAHAHA... wait. Remember that the Japanese have a very different idea of what should be in live-action films than we do, and sometimes, the hilarity of it prevents the viewers from taking it very seriously. Go watch Initial D, Battle Royale, or ANY J-horror, and you'll see what I mean. Can you imagine if Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was made into a live-action J-horror show? That would be TERRIBLE.

Just watch the YouTube links here:

Basically, they're people from the Middle East with what looks like a Lexus performing Drifting. Looks like fun too. Laughing

I'd have to agree. That was pretty decent. How long did it take you to make that? Even though it was a mere 5 minutes. Im sure it may have taken you some time.

It took me a total of 2 weeks to do this but that's because I have school and homework and stuff. I refilmed 3 times and editing took me about 10 hours.

that was simply awesome.

personally I'd try something a lil different than anime, like some matrix bullet-time things and/or jedi fights with light sabers.

Matrix style would be a bit hard for me but I can do light sabers easily. But I don't think i'm gonna do Star Wars. It's already been done too many times and people have done awesome stuff with it already. I'm mostly into doing things that haven't been tried out yet. Any suggestions on an anime or video game (not star wars) that could use lightsabers( not tenchi muyo either). Or any other good anime with lots of special effects concerning beams and Fireballs. Simple stuff unlike FMA (too much transformation effects, gonna take me a long time to make it looks presentable).

Try out for the Stephen Colbert Greenscreen challenge. It's a pretty random segment of the show but you might manage to get your video on television. Since you seem pretty confident with video editing and have impressive skill you could probably get on.

Nice Vid by the way. I found the summon kinda random though.

Wow that was slick, props to you guys. I was pretty impressed!

I think the main problem with something like a DBZ movie or Naruto would be that they try to hard to make it look like the anime. It's a movie, not a anime. A prime example of this is some of the old comic movies where they tried to make the people look exactly like they do in the comics. Sure it looked good on paper, but most often times they just came out looking stupid in the movie (double dragon, mario brothers comes to mind). They need to set it up like X-men...make it based off the manga or anime...not a copy of it.
