I absolutely love this hobby. I've seen GI Joe ponies and video game character ponies and superhero ponies... I think these people can be incredibly creative and talented and I love the end results! I just wish more of them were for sale at prices I could afford... I wouldn't mind having one or two.
Actually, her prices seem fair. I will have to think about this. |

I love custom ponies. There's some really impressive stuff out there. But it's all too expensive for me, and I'm not skilled enough to even begin to attempt it on my own..

Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that having too much iron in your diet can turn you into a rampaging monster. Thanks to Shutterfly's quick thinking, however, we averted disaster in Ponyville and now have Spike back on a proper diet of gemstones. Now if I can just talk Rainbow Dash out of attacking the local refinery, (and Pinky Pie out of throwing them a party) I might be able to get back to my studies. Your loyal servant, Twilight Sparkle |

To be fair, this hobby has been around long before the terrible 'Friendship is Magic' show/crowd/fanbase popped up. Dating back to even before the 80s show with the toyline. I saw a lot of these early 2000s and late 1990s. It's unfortunate that now it's associated with that show and that fanbase. It used to be fairly creative and, if nothing else, level headed and conservative. Now it's just a swirling whirlpool of 4chan /b/ memes and garbage. Such is the fate of everything /b/ touches. |

You all know these terrible "Oh, those crazy Japanese: Cube-shaped melons!" or "OMG! Rent-a-kitten café!" articles? With this one they can get +1 on the U.S.

Hahaa, I knew of the fanart of such but I never knew people took ponies and painted them.
I've never been too enthused by that craft myself, though I could do it if wanted to, but I think the one pictured was really cute. |

It's like painting garage kits. What's the big deal?

I haven't heard of boiling garage kits in dye and rehairing them? /jk Customization seems ever so popular and Mana-Maiden does so many anime based ponies I don't see the issue |

Yeah I'm actually a pony collector. I have been for 14 years. Customs are not a new thing at all. These customs are pretty good, but not as amazing as anything Woosie has done who does amazing jobs sculpting http://woosie.deviantart.com/gallery/.
Anyone has any 1980's pones give me a shout ^-^ |

I know one of these creative artists and she is absolutely amazing. She did this one and it's one of my most favorite pieces of my Metroid collection. Check out the pony on the right ;

Coolness. Though I'm sure it cost quite a bit of money.
