Great. I can't for a plethora of people rehashing the Jokes in the series and never reading the manga.

Wait, it wasn't an April Fools joke?
They're not keeping Roundabout are they?

I'm pretty sure only the anime part of this is actually right and not the manga bit. Last I checked Viz was still planning to do a digital re-release of it so that doesn't really sound right unless CR's doing the parts that haven't already been translated

I thought it was a joke too. Especially since the CR link led to a 404 error. I'm happy for the fans.

April's Fools has now officially ended in all territories, and Crunchyroll has not removed their listing for the anime, and has not said anything to deny the announcement.

CR often makes announcements before they have the series page ready.

MY GOD. Already seen the series and am waiting patiently for Stardust Crusaders (2 DAYS!), but it's about damn time.
My reaction would be more jubilant if I knew details, do they have SC or not (probably not I guess), and what's with the announcement of the manga? I don't see any mention of that anywhere indeed.
Also, many, particularly on the Crunchyroll forums, are SWEARING that this must be some kind of joke, and that CR is busy trying to find a way to curtail a PR nightmare when they have to come out and admit that it was an April Fools' joke. Yeahhhh...pretty sure this is not a joke...
Anyway, if true, this is fantastic news to go along with my news of the Kimagure Orange Road manga being rescued.

Now let us hope that someone's going to publish the first David Production's TV series on Blu-Ray.

That's what's happening now. Now they'll be able to read the manga.

It would be extremely cruel to had passed this off as an April Fool's gag. There are lots of Jojo fans out there who do want to see this show licensed. Nobody would have found this funny if it was a joke.
That said, and the fact that the announcement is legit, I might as well say what everyone else has been saying and that is: BOUT DAMN TIME!
We've all waited a good year-and-a-half for this show to get licensed and now it's official! So...YAY!
However, there will be two big questions on everyone's mind:
1. Will Roundabout be left intact?
Most logical answer. Probably not. Licensing of music from bands is a very costly procedure and I doubt CR is willing to put up the dough. We're most likely going to be getting an instrumental version of the ED. It would be a very, very nice surprise if we did get the full Roundabout ED with the lyrics.
2. Will the character names be left intact?
Some will. Others most likely not. Names based off of famous bands are a sticky legal area to get into. To use the names may force CR to pony up some more dough so it's highly likely the names will be changed.
Can't wait for online broadcast of Jojo.
