Kind of a drop of KLK there. Glad Arpeggio's doing well.

I wouldn't have expected an otaku themed series like Watamote to do that badly. And Kill la Kill's sales are not too impressive either.

It wouldn't surprise me, at least not too much, if Natsume Yuujinchou got a fifth season in 2014/2015.

The thing about Watamote is that it didn't come across as a celebration of the otaku, more a damnation of the otaku.
Kill la Kill's sales are probably reasonable, I guess.

give them a bowlegged cute girl doing "oishii~~" "onii-cha~~n" "pant pant" all the time and they'll buy 3 copies of each volume , even if the story was about killing otaku on the spot

Honestly thought Kill la Kill would sell much more than that. Looks like sales wise it'll remain slightly above average.

KlK bad? Its one of the best selling shows of Autumn 2013. Its pretty obvious it'll be in the top 5. And it'll probably be above NNB.

How about you provide commentary with actual substance, as opposed to just throwing out insults and demonizing people who aren't you.

Who would it appeal to though? The girl is too ugly for otaku and it makes fun of female otaku... lots of stuff about otaku bomb because its often just making fun of them.

Little Busters Refrain should easily get into top 5 over KLK. LB season 1 was incredibly consistent and Refrain should be too because of the EX episodes, while KLK has like 9 volumes and probably won't be able to maintain more than a 8k or so average

I forgot about LB:R, in that case, it'll be either NNB or KlK at 5#

Keep it up Free! Sales are amazing as usual and I cannot wait for the second season.
Also, happy to see those numbers for Natsume.

I think it has more to do with certain beliefs that this was going to be one of those "reformer" anime, the ones supposed to shake things up and change the direction of the business. Nah, it's doing just pretty good for itself. They are not impressive for what you'd think they'd have sold compared to say, Gurren Lagann.

It did better than I originally thought it would and it has next to no budget so I don't think Trigger and Aniplex are too upset
