This is something that's been known for a while, isn't it?

Well in that case, no need for the original voice cast either.

Sailor Moon Kai will be awesome.

The original had far too much monster of the day filler for no bloody reason. Did they sell dolls of those damn droids, youma and such?

Glad about this. Finally an official confirmation that it's an adaptation of the manga. I'll have to re read the manga again to establish what I am most excited to see.

now the question that I have is, are they planning to animate everything on the go or are we getting seasons?

Well I mean, if they're adapting the manga again doesn't that count as a remake? I mean, I'd call FMA:B a remake even though it adapted the story quite differently than the first one did.

I imagine the original had some filler story lines, so to remake the original would mean to include those story's as well.

It would only be Sailor Moon Kai if they were recycling footage from the previous anime, which would be impossible if they're making it closer to the manga since unlike Dragon Ball Z, the Sailor Moon anime CHANGED many things as well as adding to them.

Anyway, glad to see we have more concrete details now.

People do use the term "remake" way too loosely anyway. Another adaptation of the same source material isn't a remake since it doesn't follow the original movie/TV show. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood wouldn't be a "remake" of the original FMA as much as it is another adaptation of the manga. Same with with "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" and "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" as well as "Dracula" (w/Bela Lugosi) and "Bram Stocker's Dracula" (w/Gary Oldman).

There were a few side stories published in RunRun, but the main manga has zero filler.

Huh, so this new project is going to be a Brotherhood-styled production. Earlier articles about this gave the impression that the new show was going to do something different with the source material. Either way, I am glad that they announced this to make it clear what this show will be.

First FMA, then HxH, and now SM. Here's to hoping the next Manga-accurate adaptation will be "Shaman King."

Technically, no, but come on, Mitsuishi is still awesome and Furuya hasn't aged.
