Hmm...I heard about this earlier but I guess at least one chapter is better than nothing.

It's been a damn long hiatus though that's for sure.

Can i read chap 30 somewhere , or not ?
Doesn't matter for me if they take a hiatus after this.
But at least i want to read this chapter...
So, someone can help?

I am also having trouble finding where to read it. I will definitely post back when I am able too!

Man, I really like this series but I'm getting frustrated now. I was excited to hear about the new chapter, but now that the next has no set date I get the feeling it's going back on hiatus.

I remember seeing a video of someone asking the creator if there would be a season 2, he said if they had the fans support then yes. But I'm starting to think that wont happen.

That's just typical business speak, and especially the Japanese brand of positive thinking. You never want to project that you, your project, or your business as incapable or negative.

The person in the video is not the creator, he is a representative of Madhouse, likely the director of season 1. He wasn't actually referring to fan support specifically but more directly the support of the author (the actual creator and copyright owner of the HOTD story).

At that time the plan was to continue HOTD, both the anime and manga. But shortly after it was green lit for season 1, Daisuke Sato stopped writing. His writing of HOTD has been off and on again several times until it stopped for 2 years.

In a recent interview Daisuke Sato said he was hospitalized with heart trouble and couldn't write. He also felt it was inappropriate to write about an apocalypse after the horrible earthquake in Japan.

Shouji Sato's visit to AnimagiC in Germany last year proved to Daisuke that there was a lot of fan support around the world. Daisuke is now writing. Be nice if Daisuke would at least write enough new story to fill out season 2.
