Does anyone even care anymore? It's probably going to come back on at some other point or something.

Here I was thinking the reruns were so they could keep the series running continuously. So much for that theory.

What?!
They've only just started the School of Beam Saber arc, so it means it will end after that. Crying or Very sad
They still had Confessional, Kagura's Boyfriend, Excalibur and Ikumatsu arcs they could have animated.
It was a bit pointless in airing the re-runs now since they are ending it again so suddenly.
It will be back no doubt, but a kick in the teeth when we only got 3 arcs out of the return. Then again, I think the animation quality for those arcs was superb.
Ah well, long live Gintama.
Now I've lost that and Fairy Tail for the mean time after March!

I thought this was already announced when Aikatsu was taking its timeslot last week.

What? They've ended runs of the show as scheduled, and they've returned just the same. There's never been a "guess we can't cancel it" situation, they've never fully said "No more Gintama, ever" and I don't suspect they ever will. They're just letting the manga get ahead.

Is the School of Beam Saber arc new or a rerun? I don't remember it...

I absolutely loved the recent "Courtesan/Puppet Shogun" arc they aired, the story reminded me of the Yoshiwara arc and the animation was stunning. I was looking forward to more new arcs, but I guess it's always a waiting game with Gintama.
