This was probably the single deciding factor when it came to deciding that they were going to make a musical.

Well, that's not exactly hard considering how little story Lucky Star has in the first place. "High school girls talk to each other... IN SONG!"
Still looking forward to it, I love Lucky Star. Even if the original voice actresses don't actually play their characters on stage, I hope they find some way of at least subbing the songs over. I can't imagine anyone besides Aya Hirano as Konata.

Not Broadway; it'll be somewhere in Japan. But that'd be so cool if it were on Broadway.
I can't say I was anticipating this, but I'm certainly not surprised. And I'm excited. (Although the only musical adaptation of an anime I've seen was Shugo Chara! on YouTube, and that was...good. Until they brought out the "Charas." *shudder*) I'll definitely be racking the Internet for footage.
