Why?
Sort of sounds like Angelique mixed with Haruka.
Or even any number of shojo titles out there turning the Shinsengumi or other historical figures into bishonen such as Peacemaker Kurogane, Samurai Deeper Kyo..,
Can it be any worse that any other idea such as Jubei-Chan? (Yagyu Jubei re-incarnated as a girl thru an eyepatch)
I'm wondering if it's a return of the VA's attached to those names vs the new Neo VA's

I will now proceed to laugh my ass off at the mental image of the little pure schoolgirl Angelique portrayed as a demonic historical Japanese male warlord.

I still say it can't be any worse than Yagyu Jubei who I first came across in the Ninja Scroll movie being transformed into the teenage girl in Jubei-chan. That was different.
If you've seen enough anime, you must have seen it done to a certain extent. Look at Samurai Deeper Kyo which re-wrote several historical figures (Actually changed Ieyasu & merged him with another historical figure). Mirage of Blaze has them reincarnating for the last 400 yrs & is considered a yaoi title. There's Gintama's variations on the Shinsengumi. Papuwa re-did the Shinsengumi also. I've seen a few positive takes on Nobunaga.

Ok, game, now manga.
Anime next?
It is shameless cash in on Sengoku Basara & the rest, but I heard we're sort of doing the same here with games looking more & more to the Old West over the stuff we've been seeing the last few yrs.
History fans. Not to mention, it's sort of nice "Oh yeah, I remember that from school" Makes it feel as though all those tests weren't a waste studying for (though history itself is cool).
