I didn't realize there was anything to anticipate, it looked more or less like a sleeper season to me at least...

I know right? Of course, I'm sure 'plenty' of people will disagree.
Oh well~
There's only five shows worth watching for me in the Winter:
Chihayafuru 2: My precious sports/romance/friendship/history anime returns!!
Hetalia- The Beautiful World: Better art style, new director: hopefully the changes are for the best.
Sasami-san@Ganbaranai: More bishoujo anime were the "main male protagonist" is treated as unimportant as usual. Also, I'm starting to enjoy the hikikomori niche a bit more.
Amnesia: Not much of an otome gamer but why not give it a shot?
Tamako Market: Want to try to watch more Kyoto Animation shows but I'm not getting my hopes to high.
....Not much violent anime in the new season? (Guess it's time for me to finally marathon Hellsing and see what the fuss is about.)
Will try out of absolute boredom: Senran Kagura, Hakkenden: Tōhō Hakken Ibun, Kotoura-san, and Vividred Operation.
I would try Courtesy of Zettai Karen Children but I'm sure I'm supposed to watch the 52 ep of the original first so I probably won't bother.

Nice to see Vividred Operation getting the recognition it needs. I'm sure it'll be good as Strike Witches. Minami-ke also looking forward to that. Tamako Market and Senran Kagura should definitely be good as well. Boku Suku NEXT is automatically going to be great.
Winter looks awesome.

Anyone concerned about the shallow lineup needs to keep an eye on Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, a series often compared favorably to Spice and Wolf. There's also always one surprise title so don't give up too early.

Its pretty much a really otaku aimed season. I expect it to be a bigger selling and enjoyable season for otaku than say, Spring 2012, which was considered a really "Good" season by non otaku.

Glad to see Vividred Operation first, its basically the spiritual successor to Strike Witches (same director/creator), along with the script writer of Code Geass/Guilty Crown. Should be a good one.

Seeing Amnesia and hakkenden really low on those lists makes me really sad.
once again, not surprised by the top 5 but(I won't lie) just like the previous biglobe list, I'm disappointed.

Just saw the trailer and a mini summary.
I'm pretty interested at how the increase of population would correlate with the increase in production. Obviously, I can read Economic essays while watching the show but those papers don't have demon fights. Yeah, I'm that shallow.
Also, the fact that ending one war may cause a civil war really adds tension to the character's decisions.
I'll add Maoyuu Maou Yuush to my Must Watch list!

This looks to be quite an underwhelming upcoming new season for anime.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too high if you're looking for something like Spice and Wolf... its being animated by ARMs afterall. They are mainly known for Queens Blade, Ikki Tousen, Samurai Girls and other fanservice heavy series. They've done hentai as well.
I'm expecting a more fanservice oriented of Spice and Wolf when it comes out. The PVs already focus a lot on the main girls breasts and they make sure it has lots of bounciness.

I'll be amused if that's ALL the fanservice moments you'll see in the PVs, and the rest of the series was really Spice and Wolf with macroeconomics.

I'm not sure what's sadder: that so many shows exist merely to cater to lonely, perverted Japanese males, or that enough of such people exist to warrant effectively a myriad of such shows...
Looks like I may only be watching Space Brothers next season, although Amnesia, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, Savanna Game (should be released next season given it was meant to start this year), and Arve Rezzle (not sure when this will actually come out) look promising.

Well, Spice and Wolf had a certain level of fanservice as well, and there are some boob jokes mixed into Maoyuu (generally cast in economic terms) so that was a given anyway. But I think it would take an extraordinary butchering to turn it into Queen's Blade. I guess we'll see, but for now I'm optimistic.
