Yeah, sure it does, although it's my contention that the show only got worse as it went along. I'd love to see a second season (and one is coming when the manga is finished, so they can follow that storyline instead of the silly TV story).

I've been looking for manga but I can't get it anywhere around here Mind if I ask why it was worse as it went? I mean towards end they started major fights and a bit of alucards history was released, making it seem better to me. |

Definately. The manga builds on the stuff from the first part of the story deliciously. Evil Nazi Vampires, and a whole squadron of Catholic assassins from Iscariot....I've only seen pictures from the manga but it looks incredible.
The problem is the creators of the anime wrote themselves into a messy corner that isn't at all in keeping with where the manga goes. They'll have to do some creative writing to get back on track with the manga, or else pretend the last batch of episodes never happened. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe the manga's Integra ever ends up in the predicament she's in at the end of the anime) |

Certainly Hellsing deserves another season, and Pioneer owes me eight episodes worth of the time of my life back. I unknowingly watched the second two volumes of Hellsing. OOPS!
At least it wasn't me paying for them. Anyways, certainly a full 26 episodes faithfully following the manga is needed for Hellsing. But can we get a 120+ episode treatment for Oh My Goddess first? The OAV was great, and the movie was sweet, too, but there's so much more happening in the manga that this needs to happen. |
