And this thread isn't really geared towards confirmed stuff. Like say....Black Lagoon's third season. We know that's coming. But, I wanna see what you guys want confirmed and announced for this year. :3

I have a little list sitting here meself (and forgive me if I fanboy here or there...!):

Fate/Zero
I have faith in this one. When you look around, there's a lot of Fate stuff going on about recently. The now-out Unlimited Blade Works movie is garnering a whole lot of hype, not to mention the upcoming Fate/Extra RPG is fairly well anticipated as well. And just a short while ago, we had Fate/Unlimited Codes. So, in all honesty, it seems to be just the right year to announce a fully-fledged Fate project. And Fate/Zero is the perfect candidate.

Full Metal Panic!
I'll keep this one short: We've waited long enough. Anime cry The novel has...I believe has concluded just recently...so, comon already! D:

Baccano!
While the novels are far from over, the random and sporadic nature of the story as a whole definitely has enough elbow room for more. And it's proven itself quite popular, so why not?

Shin Angyo Onshi
Hey....I can have dreams. D: The original SAO mang...er, manwhas, managed to prove it's mettle quite a bit; far enough to impress the Japanese to adapt one of the earlier stories as a (half-assed) feature movie. But...I think it's high-time this series is given the proper adaptation treatment.

So, I'm not terribly creative with my picks; sticking to the safe stuff. Razz But I would like to know what you'd want to see throughout this fresh year.

I would actually quite like to see a Last Exile spinoff. I found the world in which that series was based in was very rich and was not covered in too much detail during the series. Plus airships do rock.

I also second the Mushi - Shi comment bellow.

I'd also like to see a Fate/Zero anime. Or maybe another FSN one for the last main story arc.

Anything Berserk related would be great. I mention that here because it seems like the chances are better than ever (if also still not good) between those mysterious pictures that were probably a hoax from a few months back and the fact that revisiting older franchises seems to be a bit popular recently.

This is fairly general but I'd love to see the next Shinichiro Watanabe project. I'm not sure what he's been up to. He's done a few shorts and things and generally seems to like to work fairly infrequently but still it seems like he's well overdue to do something major.

I'm still desperately hoping for a Blame! movie or TV series.

Also, I'd love to see Ninja Scroll 2 which was in the works and is apparently not canceled but seems to have been put on (indefinite?) hiatus. Come to think of it, any Kawajiri project would be cool. I'm not sure if he's retired or what the deal is because I don't think he's done anything in a fair bit but if he is still active it would be great.

More Mushishi would be awesome. The earlier anime only adapts the first five or so volumes of the ten volume manga, so there should enough of material for a second season.

I also agree about the Fate/Zero anime. I loved Fate/Stay Night and would love to see more of it.

Another anime that I have heard rumors about (but no concrete evidence of) is Skip Beat 2. I think a second season of Skip Beat would be awesome.

I'll stay with Mushishi. The first season was episodic(which isn't a bad thing) and left much space for a second season. I don't know anything about its sources, but I hope there's more to come. Also Darker Than Black, since I have the feeling that the next season will be more like season one, but I don't mind waiting until 2011 for this one, since I believe they need to have more source ready, and I definitely don't want to see another premature season(not like the second season was bad, even though there are a few OVAs to come, but just one sort of side story is plenty).
Edit: Anything related to Berserk would also be more than welcome. I'd say that could be the best news this year.
Most likely not coming this year(or even decade), but which I still hope for(1 out of 100): Deserk Punk 2, and Golden Boy.

Well, I heartily wish we'd get some news on the Black Lagoon OVA series/season that's in the works. It was confirmed, I believe, but no timetable was mentioned so we don't know when to expect it or what it's about. I'm guessing it would be the El Baile de la Muerte arc if anything and so far this arc has kicked butt.

Full Metal Panic has more novels to animate into series. I highly enjoyed the characters and want to see where the story goes on this one. Hopefully, now that the novels are ending this year, we'll get more.

Shakugan no Shana needs more seasons as well to resolve some things. I enjoyed the previous series and the recent OVA and was hoping for a 3rd season to follow.

Spice and Wolf has more novels to anime as well. It would be a shame if we only got two seasons. I highly enjoyed Holo and Laurence's character dynamic and would to love to see spoiler[their romance progress.]

I could really go on and on and list tons of series that thought should have gone on but I wouldn't want to write all that. So I just leave it with the 4 above above that need it the most because they frustrated me and had such good characters with great romantic chemistry that never quite took off in their anime incarnations.

The ones I would like to see are mostly continuations but there are a few others.

Black Lagoon OVA/Season 3: Not much to say on this one, I love the other two seasons (espically in English) and it will give me a good excuse to buy beer just to watch it. Perfect relaxation anime (for me at least).

Nana Season 2: While they have intended to finish animating this show after the manga finished, the author's illness has delayed this significantly and so there is enough material to cover another season.

Genshiken Season 3: How long will it take before they animate the rest of my favourite manga series? Mad

Goth: I think this manga will make a neat little OVA series. Even more for those that enjoy the horror genre.

Mirai Nikki: For those of us who are reading the manga it appears to be reaching a conclusion and so it is the perfect time to animate it. The story is fairly interesting and Yuno is just adorable! Twisted Evil

I will also agree for Mushishi and Full Metal Panic.

Oohhhh.... i can't believe I didn't think of NANA. I would love to see a second season of that as well. Wow was that an amazing anime... Doesn't the manga that is published already give more information than the anime did about why spoiler[Nana disappeared? ]

If I'm correct Mushi-shi has 24 unanimated chapters left, so they could if they chose to make another 24 ep series. One can dream...

An animated Kitchen Princess that would then be licensed by Funimation and dubbed using Laura Bailey as Najika. Mmmm, nice.

Indeed it does to an extent but there is still a lot more to the story.

The anime went up to the 12th volume and there are currently 21 volumes published. The first season was 47 episodes long so there is plenty to animate without worrying about fillers, a 26 episode season perhaps.

Lessee...

Hajime No Ippo 3. The manga has enough events that they could create 2 24 episode seasons. I know that they said its coming, but I can't wait years Sad

Berserk 2. As with Ippo, there's a ton of source material for them to use to create a few seasons, assuming they do not rush anything.

Musashi. I heard a rumor that they were making an anime based on the "best real swordsman ever" so we shall see if it ever comes out.

Code Geass 3. Put the "Where's Lelouche debate to bed forever. Please.

Lucky Star 2. Yeah, now I'm just listing my favorite anime Razz

That would be fun!

I would just about Die for a real (or really good anyway) Petshop of Horrors/Tokyo anime...as the one that exists, leaves me wanting oh-so-much more.

There's too many Manga swirling round my head at the moment to suggest much more, without suggesting everything I'd love to see as an anime.
