I check the ANN Anime listing's and when I looked in the Naruto Tv page it stated 4kids is the Licensener whats going on?

Since the Encyclopedia relies on personal contributions, and not everyone is the quickest cat in the land, someone probably added it the second he heard a rumour. Calm down. |

I can't find one site that says Naruto's been licensed, even the fansub sites say zip (though they're reporting the same rumor). |

There is no tangible or hard evidence that Naruto has been licensed by anyone.

I Just Checked the Naruto TV page and the 4kids licenses part under the english companies is gone! what the hell is going on someone is messing with our heads! because before I posted this I was on Toonzone's Anime forum where they saw it to and is holding a discussion about it as i type so someone confess! |

Only ANN staff are allowed to add licenses to the Encyclopedia. The user who submitted the information must have submitted some kind of "other information" calling it "Licensed By" to subvert this protection. See this thread for details.

The entries were completely false and we've just taken them down. Whoever was behind it probably won't be submitting any more info in the forseeable future.

I applaud who ever did it for his sheer genius of getting it up there.
Of course Naruto going to Funi by far one of the most hot button ways to troll on anime boards. Its been done a little to death. Wait for pressreleases/con announcments of course even a pressrelease can be faked but still I tend to trust them more then just Hey I saw on a forum or I read on this website not releated to the company. I do think When naruto does get liscened it will get a TV run thu i think thats pretty much a given. |
