Why doesn't Dragon Ball Kai have its own entry in the Encyclopedia? DBZ and DBK are being treated as different projects altogether by Toei. It's not like it's a "Dragon Ball Z: Director's Cut" where a few inconsequential minutes are cut and pasted- it really is a completely different show.

It most likely has yet to be approved. There are a limited number of encyclopedists, and all of them except Dan42 are volunteers.

Kai has a completely new musical score and remixed SFX. The VAs have come in to re-record their lines. The footage from Z has been remastered to HD and there is some minor new animation in the show, new opening and ending animations, recoloring and even some censorship.
Not to mention that they're cutting an almost 300 episode series into a show of about 100 episodes. |

People were rejoicing that stuff like Garlic Jr. will be gone but I'm a bit sad for the loss of some light-hearted original DB-esque episodes like driving school.
Good riddance to heaps of (entire) episodes where both sides beat each other through mountains and other lesser obstacles and they just get a bruise or scrape while said obstacle reduces to rubble. |

What exactly are we waiting for this to happen. It's been already a while that Dragon Ball Kai has begun hurry and make it a separate encyclopedia entry, most likely to be presented as an (alternate retelling) proof of this is a new on ANN -

I'm still not 100% convinced but I guess we'll call it a different series. I've created the entry for Dragon Ball Kai but disabled the entry of staff/cast/companies since it's all basically the same thing as Dragon Ball Z.

Thanks for finally make up the page but I insist that it would be better if it was an alternate retelling of Dragon Ball Z as for the cast it would be better if it was available to put too since they are re-doing all the voice work too.

Some people entered those in the original DBZ entry instead.  There are, however, some different cast and staff compared to the original; a duplicated person was found in the process of entering the new staff. I've entered staff & companies and will move necessary casts later; after that I'll lock it back up.

Hey guys, like has already been said, DBK has a slightly different voice cast. I'd put it in for you, but it's locked.
