I don't know about the feeds on the East Coast, but I have been watching Fist of the North Star on Starz Action channel every Friday night from 12am to 2am for a while now, and suddenly they have Hellsing on its place! Now don't get me wrong, I'll watch Hellsing, it's not bad, but I was really starting to get into FOTNS! What did they do? How can you just pull a show in the middle of the series like that!? Does anyone know what happened or if it is coming back? This has depressed me so much. I was looking forward to the next episode of ass-kicking and then BOOM, Hellsing is on instead. What's the deal?

Probably that was all that STARZ will ever show of Fist of Northstar. For example on Anime Unleashed on G4tv they only have like 12 eps of ROD and GunGrave.
I really would like to see more of Fist of Northstar. It's an awesome old school series and I loved every second of it.

But Manga only holds the rights to I think the first 35 episodes, and don't really show signs of picking up the rest, it's only been 5-6 years

Yeah, unfortuantely they only have the rights to air that many episodes and it's pretty much impossible to find the series on DVD either. I was following it the last time they aired it and was disappointed as well. That's just...

I think ADV has the rights to NEW Fist of the North Star.

That is correct, and it's airing now on the Anime Network, however i'm watching the DVDs. which reminds me, vol.3 comes out this thursday.
i for one am glad, that Starz removed this classic series from their lineup. the dubbing is attrocous and the intro is chessy.
The Japanese audio is much better.
