Read about this on Twitter, and other gaming news sites. This is sad to hear, Tanaka was a important person and involved in a lot of Square/Square Enix games (he wasn't involved with FF7). You can read more about him here.

NOT involved in 7? Ok this makes the news even MORE sad. Not a big fan of seven and i was already sad but this makes it even worse IMO.

I know it's impossible to have any kind of discussion involving something to do with Squeenix without FFVII haters showing up but damn that was fast.
