I wonder when the actual lawsuits will begin? Either way, someone is going to be paying at the end.

Uh . . . why? These comics aren't exactly hard to find in bookstores, and even some libraries.

I'm surprised the scanlators aren't pissed at sites like this, cause they're making money off of their translation work as much as they are making money off of the pirated work. Sites like this are just scum who make money off of everyone else without doing any work themselves.
Torrenting scans from scanlation groups is one kind of wrong, but sites like these are far worse than that. |

I wonder if the person or persons that uploaded those scans on that site just want to bring attention towards MangaFox so authorities will get the ball rolling in shutting down the site.

Well it IS a site about news for anime and manga. So they kinda HAVE to put up news like that. |

Is this really a surprise? The industry has yet again shown itself to be nothing more than one of those incredibly small yappy puppies. Barks really loud, looks at you all cutesy when it wants you to do something, but it's not like it will ever bite you. Of course the sites are going to go back to their old ways when it looks like nobody cares or will do anything anymore.

I guess longcat being long would be news on a website about cats using this sort of logic. |

What makes you think they aren't? Every scan group member I know hates those sites with a burning passion. One Piece's back too, it seems. |

Not surprising considering that the coalition hasn't really done anything for a while now, or anything at all for that matter.

What? ANN's mentioned MangaFox before, as well as several other sites. It's called reporting. Might as well thank ANN for "advertising" fansubs and the like, despite every reader most likely already knowing of their existence. |

Stating the obvious is not reporting. Writing a puff piece about how a pirate site is pirating manga is stating the obvious and in this case, it even reads like a press release. Did ANN and its source simply reprint a press release that Mangafox posted onto the internets? It sure seems likely. |

Many people wouldn't know of this if it weren't for ANN because why look for the news of something when its right there in your feed, trolling ANN just because you saw it somewhere else first does nothing but show you as an ass, so just stop |

Press releases are found here.
Also, this isn't stating the obvious. This is stating that a scanlation aggregation website has not lived up to what it said it would do. |

Sadly they've had some of these up for awhile now - noticed this when I saw my brother reading Naruto a few weeks ago.
Really, sites like Mangafox doesn't need ANN to advertise them. Searches for manga scans and breaking the rules on GaiaOnline by mentioning the sites is enough to advertise it and is done so constantly. |
