People made light of Tobaso's declarations of her possibly starving, but it seems like PR about people involved in the anime industry in Japan getting horrifically sick and their work being slowed down is pretty common 0_o 20 pills a day does sound pretty harsh to have to take- I'm guessing they haven't said what he has due to some kind of cultural thing [which is why I guess we rarely find out what sick anime characters are dying mysteriously of]

Firstly, I wish a quick recovery for whatever illness Yumizuru is suffering (if that is indeed the case).

There are of course the possibility the career pressure is just way too much. While 20 pills per day may not be completely truthful, but I can guess pressure to get stuff out quickly are highly believable. Fatigue and depression from career pressure is highly believable as well. Citing health reasons to back out from a career or to negotiate can save the face for him/herself or his/her boss.
Anyway, it is great to do things you like in your life. However, there is limit in how much you are pressed to do things "you like". In the end we live a free world - enough is enough - be that exaggerating 20 pills per day, or open the plane's emergency exit in the airport and take a few booze with you on the way out

Just thinking about taking 20 pills/day would make me depressed. Hope he gets better.

Why do you assume that 20 pills per day is an exaggeration? I take 15 medications a day and know friends and family members who take more than that per day.

I'm no doctor or pharmacist, but that is a lot of drugs, no matter how you look at it. People do die from over doses, you know.

Overdoses generally occur from taking a very high amount of one or two meds. The number 20 likely refers to taking a few medications two or three times a day. Some medications have to be taken every four hours, so that's six pills right there.
Like others have said, lots of people take 20 pills or more a day to stay alive.

As someone who has battled chronic nightmares in the past, I really hope he finds a way to overcome this.... Insomnia because you're scared to death to fall asleep is the worst.
