The lack of resolution is deliberate. Since the whole thing turns out to be about hateful legacies tormenting the present, ending with an obvious implication of what happens next without actually showing it makes sense. "Nothing's ever over."
That last episode was by far the best, though some of the tricks didn't make much sense (what was the point of the fake evil boyfriend if the real boyfriend was also evil?). I wish the whole thing had been built better to this climax. Think of Oldboy as a rather similar example.

I think I'm gonna wait until I find it cheaper than $20. I had originally planned on getting it this month, but the Shelf Life thread didn't exactly seem too high on it.

Once again, another ecchi title that comes into existence to please all the fanboys. Pass.

The opening description appeals to my old-school anime sensibilities.

Right. I totally believe this. Yup.

It could be worse. At least it's not Variable Geo. Or could it actually be worse than that?

$20.99 in RightStuf's current weekly specials. Although, if it really isn't that important, I suppose it can wait till it's much lower somewhere...

Well, I picked this up. I enjoyed the cheesy dialogue and LOL'd at the ludicrous gimmicky fighters. But the series does get dark and perverse towards the end. I know the review hinted at this. But I didn't realize how dark and perverse it would get. I did enjoy When They Cry but that level of depravity was not where I was expecting this show to head towards.

This review is way to easy on this show.
It's complete utter crap! The art sucked, the plot sucked, the plot twists were predictable (but they got a whole like more gimmicky and cheesy than I expected them to be), the concept was stupid, many of the characters annoyed me... I can go on.
The point is, I can't believe I wasted money on this.
If this show was advertised less as an ecchi peep-show title and more of a depressing sadistic one, it might have gone over better. I do enjoy those types of shows, I like When They Cry very much (even though the final episode of this show is more of a downer than the entire first season of Higurashi...)
You know, after watching this show, I'm calling into question all of the anime that I've said I didn't really enjoy in the past; this might be the first anime that I can honestly say is so completely horrible that it might be the worst thing I've ever watched.
