haaa... I was actually looking forward to this too... Seriously though, what is going on with SHAFT that is causing the delay on THIS show?

Oh, ffs. So basically the last episode is coming out 10 months after the show ended its broadcast run ASSUMING they make their revised July 28 deadline.

Y'all can't see it, but I'm making my angry face right now. >.<
At least the final episode will stream around the time when vol. 7 was supposed to be released (after having already been delayed some three months). At this rate, it seem a real possibility that the show could get an R1 license before SHAFT finishes its run.

Looking at those stills... makes me happy, even with the wait... the whole beggars and choosers thing. I never watched T-Cat for this reason, I want to see it all at once. This is one of those ones that I dream someday will get an R1 license. I'd pay Japanese prices to own a blu-ray [with the subtitles natch]

Not surprised and very much expected. Considering the original release date was June and that SHAFT made no announcement between February and May, it's kind of a no-brainer to see Bakemonogatari delayed yet again.

With all the money they made from this series you would think they would hire a few more animators to help work on their stuff. Instead the animation for their works is inconsistent usually using tricks to hide the poor animation and they often fall behind on schedule.

If this series ever gets dubbed here onto a DVD, I would probably buy it but not watch either version. That's because the bright colors, the yuri chick, and the humor I don't really get and am turned off by.

Unfortunately, you don't. All you know is the new date that SHAFT says they'll be finished by, but there is absolutely no guarantee that there won't be more delays.

At this point I would hope this is the final delay. But it wouldn't be a huge surprise I guess if there was more.

my theory is either you really dig Shinbo's style or you don't. It is an unusual way of looking at things, certainly. I have pretty much liked all I have seen... and if you don't? No big shakes, there are 10,000 other things out there.
Why would you buy if you didn't like the work?
