Something the japanese dub does not. They will need quite a lot of accents o.o;;

I'm preordering as soon as Right Stuf or Amazon starts listing the DVDs. I can't wait~
I hope the accents work out. They'll either be totally awesome or strange and distracting. Well, at least America's VA won't (or shouldn't) have much trouble with it (assuming there is no real regional dialect or accent they're giving him)

So excited! I'm really hoping they release them in season box sets. At five minutes per episode, anything less would be... not so great.

I'm glad that they decided to go with giving the characters accents in the english dub.
Now to see who's actually going to be in it...
And it looks like the manga will be $13 for 144 pages. I hope the price means that they're keeping the color pages in.

Yeah. And hopefully they'll have actors with those accents. In my opinion, they did an awful job with Negi Springfields accent. -_-; I suppose it was because the voice actor wasn't really British and he wasn't a 10 year old either. But anyways, I just hope they'll dub it right.

I tried watching one of the subtitled episodes and whiles it looks like a fun series its almost impossible to understand what is being said since there's so much dialogue and the characters talk too damn fast so i miss reading the subtitles, sorta like in Tatami Galaxy. So I think I'll wait for the dub version.

Something tells me they wont. TP really doesn't do it much these days, so maybe 3 or 4 pages max. Hetalia has a bunch of them, too...I'm just hoping they'll keep UK, rather than the incorrect England, and keep the translation nice and clean (though, maybe use England for past events, before he became the overall representation of the UK)...

It's much easier after the first episode, I can guarantee^^ The world meeting was supposed to feel very hyper and disorganized; it's easier when listening to it in a language you can understand. The subs during those scenes just kill.xD

The usage of accents could wind up being very good or very very bad depending on how the production is handled. Considering the number of countries involved, FUNimation will have to do plenty of research into each proper dialect in order to get this dub right.
If this is done right, Hetalia could have the potential to be one of the best dubs ever done. Hellsing made use of accents and it became one of the best dubs ever made. Let's hope that this will work for Hetalia.

"International Hetalia Day" is right before 9/11? Probably not the best date they could have chosen.
I hope the dub accents turn out well. If they do the right research and don't ham it up too much it could turn out really, really cool, but if they don't...

I really want to know where they got this date idea from, because last year the fandom all over the world celebrated Hetalia Day on October 24th so it coincided with the day that the United Nations was created. It was a pretty big event, fans got together to celebrate international connections through the love of Hetalia. That makes a lot more sense then September 10th, which, from what I researched briefly, doesn't seem to have any significance to international relations or even Hetalia in general.

I think maybe it was phrased wrong...Though "just in time!" usually indicates that there is barely any time left, perhaps they meant we would have it before October...When it's September 10th, I usually have one of those "Oh, tomorrow is...." moments. Knowing what's right around the corner really doesn't give me a happy feeling. However, other than what is precedes, the day has nothing to do with international relations or anything that has a real lasting significance...Though apparently Switzerland joined the UN on that day.

Have faith in Funimation, they don't just pick random, unknown actors for show. At least it won't be heavily edited like if 4kids licensed this.
Better something than absolutely nothing at all.
Now that Tokyopop confirmed the license, for the series sake, I hope the people who say they would buy it, actually mean that and buy that.

52 five-minute episodes is the same as 13 full-length episodes, so I'd imagine both seasons will be released in a single box set.
