Eh, I don't know how many of these are series, but I don't think Viz should be getting into light novels considering their past actions. I mean, we got like two Shakugan no Shana novels before it was canceled, maybe Viz should just realize light novels just won't be their thing? Yen Press, on the other hand, seems to be handling them pretty well.

I'm always for more tries with LNs, regardless of what company their coming from.
With Viz, I feel pretty hopeful the titles they've announced won't just disappear after one vol. *crosses fingers* Hopefully they can take some proverbial pointers from Yen and make these new series a hit that's here to stay. Maybe even "the first of many?" Oh, be still my beating heart.

Almost all of the books in Viz's Haikasoru imprint are self-contained novels or short story collections, and not part of a multi-volume series. The authors intended them to end in one volume.

A Sci-Fi novel imprint seems like a pretty good opportunity to try porting over Legend of the Galactic Heroes... one can hope, at least!
