Really enjoyed watching the streams over on Crunchyroll. Beautiful blends of 2D and 3D artwork. Yasuhiro Yoshiura created an interesting world and developed good characters in a short period of time. Also, for me, the examination of the future relationships between humans and robots is always fascinating. I'm an Asimov geek so this was a real treat. The humor found in episode 4 and the self awareness shown near the end of episode 6 is priceless. I really wish the best of luck to all involved with Time of Eve.

If this leads to more Eve no Jikan being made, I am all for it.
There need to be more anime like EnJ. It was such a joy to watch.

Excellent news. Time of Eve is still the only anime title I have considered a masterpiece (although I'm thinking I should probably bump FLCL into that category, as well).

I shall second existing sentiment towards Time of Eve, athough I remain indifferent towards a manga adaptation. I would be excited upon hearing any news of an R1 DVD release however.

A sub track on the Japanese BD of this movie would be just as welcome as an R1 DVD release, though more expensive.

Thumbs up on this. It's extremely exciting to see fresh ideas in Japanese animation and I hope to see more of this world.

Or an R1 BD release with lossless Japanese audio would be just as welcome.

I'm going to have to check this series out. If I hadn't known that it was streaming and paid $12 just to see it at the NYICFF I would have been pissed. But they are only playing an ep. along with other shorts as it's part of a contest of shorts. But the other things were interesting. But glad to see it's getting a manga series.
