Kinda saw that one coming. Though this did surprise me a bit. It was obvious that Adult Swim would pick this up, but I didn't expect for Funimation to already have the dub going. They said they had picked up 3 new series and I expected FMA:BH to be one of the, but not the first of the line up.

"Why am I not surprised? I think I'll have a heart attack and DIE from not being surprised!"
Actually, having anime on TV really is good news.

Awesome. But wasn't the dub cast announced months ago?

Although dubbing is a complex task with a lot of stuff involved, it gets done actually pretty quickly.
As for the news, I knew it had to be Brotherhood.

Leave it to them to release a new show while I'm away on vacation the very same weekend.

Well, this sure is shocking. No one expected this to happen at all. I wonder if they'll surprise us with that new InuYasha as well.

Though it should have been pretty obvious that this would be the first one to come out.

Why are they showing only 26 episodes? Doesn't it have 63 episodes?

I hope their dub for this one is better than the last.
(Yeah, I know I'm in the minority about it.)

Well, Adult Swim, you have my viewership for the first time in three months. Bravo.

hmmmm, I know it's just a paper's blog but is it notable that the LA Weekly article doesn't actually name it's source for "This Announcement"?

I have a reason to stay up on Saturday again
well now, I need to set the DVR to record this, wonder how good the animation will look shown on T.V? I have only seen like two episodes of Brotherhood so I don't know how it looks compared to the first series.

I'm all for new anime on TV, especially on a nationwide broadcast; gotta grow that fan base, bring more into the ranks and increase sales/revenue.
But clue me in here. Is FMA: Brotherhood a re-imagining of the FMA story/universe or a direct sequel? I know little about it.
