Starting to wonder if we will ever see another Mai Hime anime. As pretty much every project Sunrise has done with the series in the past few years involves Manga.
I would like to see anime adaptations of some of the Manga. Preferably Mai Hime Destiny. However it's looking more and more unlikely unless they announce something when they release the original series and Otome on Blu-ray.

I'd like more Mai-Hime anime - and I mean that one, none of that Mai-Otome nonsense/waste of time. The whole medieval/steampunk setting detracted the most from an already weak series.

Personally I saw Mai-Otome as a series that learned from Mai-Hime's mistakes.
1. No one is all of a sudden is revealed to be insane so they could make villains
2. The series isn't so misandrist.
3. Their is no weak himes
4. Haruka is given a larger role
5. people stay dead

Are you in love with me? Always pointing out my mistakes like using Androginist instead of misandrist. You're starting to get creepy.

Unless that person is weak, you know who! Anyway this should be amazing, but I know it's an sequel to the original and I love the original. This should be an amazing 2010!

This is the only thing I agree Otome did better.
I would be extremely upset if Sunrise decided to animate yet another Otome project. Otome definitely had potential and even though there was no reset, it definitely lacked the emotional intensity hime had. The Aoi/Mashiro episode is pretty much the only episode that reminded me of the first series. Furthermore, the concept was also fairly bland... I thought the whole child relationship in hime to be way more interesting, especially considering not many anime explore the final fantasy-esque summoning Mai HiME has. The robes in otome just didn't do it for me unfortunately.
I would gladly welcome a sequel to HiME, or a remake of the first series with no reset. Just anything but more otome please...

Mai Otome wasn't trying to be Mai-Hime 2: Electric Boogaloo, it was being Mai Otome, a series that emphasized on being more fun, and less depressing. Personally while I think Mai-Hime had the better feel to it, and was sufficiently tense, but it had several plot points which where extremely stupid, like Shizuru being an insane lesbian just so Shizuru would go around killing people.
It also had one of the worst endings I have ever seen.

I want an anime sequel/remake to HiME that has Mai and Natsuki as comrades and eventually soulmates, subtly growing closer and then slowly realizing that they have unknowingly been in love with one another for a long time. Bonus points if they start the series off as severe rivals.
Honestly, I think that or something like it was how HiME was originally supposed to run; Mai and Natsuki have complementary elemental powers, complementary personalities (both their superficial personas and their deeper, more troubled selves), fight alongside each other more than anyone else and appear together as a couple in several pieces of official art by the series chara designer. Then Shizuru raeped Natsuki and the fandom went mad for her... -_-

Well I see this couple become for Mai and Natsuki just become an mother and daughter relationship bonding. But I know this is an sequel to the original HiME, If not than Sunrise be damned. Also, I think character development will grow out of the series for Akane, she great fighter with alot of skill and determination, it's a shame that that she had to go down early in the first series and losing Kazuya, going through an ordeal and all, but I think they artists are gonna do something to help her boost and face the challenges ahead of her, making her a pivotal character and for Kazuya.
Also the writer likes Fumi and Mashiro more and I was thinking Fumi is gonna save Mashiro because I think something happened in Gates of Valhalla and Fumi is willing to save her. Alot of character development in both of them.
The first chapter is gonna be an eye opener and expect new breeds of HiME, like Aoi and Rena (Otome).
This should be an great manga series but I know EXA is gonna be the sequel so I can't wait for that.
