Well I was searching the Internet recently and I found something called One Piece: East Blue. It looks like it combines three volumes into one like a normal VIZBIG, but it isn't labeled as such. So, I am a little curious about this. What do you all think of this?

Right Stuf seems to have the same thing, I'm guessing it is a Viz Big but someone over there got sick of the name or something. Kinda like how their action line went from the action logo with the guy standing on the planet to the big "V" thing on the side to now they've got an "S" for "Shonen Sunday".

It's just 3 books packaged together in one box. Seems like a good way to get people caught up on One Piece in time for the major onslaught of releases that it'll get next year.

That's a shame. I would have really considered picking it up if had been one book, but as it stands, there's no way I'll have the room for something like that.

It seems like it is one book to me, and not a box with 3 separate books. Otherwise it wouldn't say omnibus, as that usually refers to several books made into one.

Maybe its three books bound together under one cover. Its not 'Vizbig' because its not oversized, and the spine will actually have the Vol.1-3 trade dressings printed on it, like its three separate volumes, except its one book

Turns out it was a omnibus after all, but it's too bad about the quality.

Spotted the 1-3 set at Borders and it's a legit omnibus. But it's nothing like Viz Big. It's the same size as the regular graphic novels and the paper quality is horrible (think Tokyopop last summer).

Ugh, I don't know how to feel about this. Size is a huge factor in my purchase, so it being slightly smaller while having so many volumes is nice, but I'm going to need to see what this paper quality is like. I didn't buy any Tokyopop last summer, but how does that compare to the single volume editions of One Piece?

i have the book in my store...its the same size as a normal book but really thick...kinda like a pocket dictionary that you take to college with you. Paper is thinner then usual but if your not rough with it should be ok...The other viz big books are better though.

Really? Quite a shame. It seems like something Del Rey did once with Negima, Tsubasa, and xxxHoLic.
