I will watch both of these. In addition to the fact I will be watching 13 14 of the fall shows, I will be watching a total of almost 20 shows this fall. Lots of anime to watch.

I'll be checking out all 3 of these.
'Kobato' looks really shiny. Not so sure about the 'Sacred Blacksmith' but I'll check it out once it's up on 'Crunchyroll'.
Gawd, I wish studios would tone it down on the CG.

My thoughts exactly, I simply do not like the American style of CGI that much to be honest. One of the few exceptions is Reboot (in part because it is Canadian) and while I can forgive the ordinary citizens looking like building blocks, at least Reboot made anyone who was important look like an actual human and not some weird smooth blob monster with strangely adjusted facial features. Sure, their skin tones were all wrong in Reboot, but anatomy wise, it was far more pleasing to my eyes.
I am torn between if I am or am not going to see the Astro movie, it was nice that they put Tezuka's mascot character (his little Hyoutan-Tsugi "Poison Mushroom" thing) in that clip (and therefore the movie), but that trailer just screamed "American CGI movie" to me. I can't tell if I should grab my pitchfork or go see it when it's released like a rabid Astro fanboy, choices, choices!

finally! a pv for Kobato! I can't wait till it comes out >< I keep wondering how they're going to make it stretch and reach a conclusion in 26(?) episodes since the manga doesn't even seem to be reaching a conclusion anytime soon.
but i guess that's why CLAMP helped supervise its production.
plus madhouse usually does a good job adapting their works, so i'm sure it'll be fine.

Um, no, Reboot's straight-to-video type CG. And Astro Boy's imagery's ok, but it's ironically suffering from being a bit too close to the source material, since it can't decide between being action-oriented or gag-oriented in that clip. [But then that's the problem with the industry here in general. It either has to be "cute" like Pixar, or "edgy" like 9. Nothing in-between.] Though I'm hoping the rest of the movie will be more balanced.

Correction, because I am wanting to tone down how many titles I watch this season (nearly 20 is much for me because I am going to school. If I wasn't school, I would watch the 20 titles), I will watch just Sacred Blacksmith.

Ack, the girl's voice from Kobato hurt my ears. It is so not what I was expecting... I hope she's not screeching like that for most of the anime. Oww.
I was going to check out Astro Boy for Kristen Bell alone, but this trailer just got me excited over it.

What exactly do you mean by "Straight-to-video" type CG? Reboot was the first 1/2 hour CGI TV show, it first aired on TV, it didn't just magically go to VHS/DVD first like Disney sequels do.
Personally, when I first saw Astro's earlier CGI trailers, I had difficultly telling that two of the characters were supposed to be Dr. Tenma and Prof. Ochanomizu because, at least to me, they looked nothing like Dr. Tenma and Prof. Ochanomizu.
Like I said, still debating on the pitchfork or the movie ticket...perhaps I'll go to the movies with a pitchfork?
